Privacy Policy
Effective date: 9/1/2026
Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® Florida Chapter 20-1 (“CVMA 20-1,” “we,” “us”) operates cvmaflorida.org. We’re a small volunteer chapter, not a marketing company. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you use the contact form
Your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message. We use it to reply to you. That’s it.
When you place an order in our shop
Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if you provide it), and what you ordered. We need this to send you your items and keep a record of the sale.
We never see or store your card number. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (Stripe or Square). Your card details go directly to them and are handled under their privacy policy and security standards, not ours.
When you donate
Donations are handled by [DONATION PROCESSOR]. Any information you provide during a donation is collected and stored by them under their own privacy policy. We may receive your name, email, and donation amount for our records and for acknowledgment letters.
Automatically, when you visit
Like nearly every website, our host records standard technical information: your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed, and the date and time. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
Cookies
Our shop uses cookies to remember what’s in your cart and keep you logged in if you have an account. Our Events page embeds a Google Calendar, and Google may set its own cookies when that page loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the shop may not work correctly if you do.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your information. Not to anyone, for any reason.
- We don’t run advertising trackers on this site.
- We don’t send marketing email. We have no mailing list. If you contact us, we reply to you — we don’t add you to anything.
Who we share it with
Only the parties we need to in order to operate:
- Our web host (SiteGround), which stores the site and its data
- Our payment processor, to complete purchases
- [DONATION PROCESSOR], to process donations
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order
We may also disclose information if we’re legally required to — a valid subpoena, court order, or law enforcement request — or where necessary to protect the safety of a person.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept as long as they’re useful for answering you, and are deleted periodically. Order records are kept as long as we need them for shipping, member service, and the chapter’s financial and nonprofit reporting obligations.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you
- correct it if it’s wrong
- delete it, where we’re not required to keep it
Reach us through the Contact page and we’ll handle it. There’s no form to fill out and no fee.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS across the site and rely on our host’s security measures. No website can promise perfect security, and we won’t pretend otherwise — but we don’t store payment card data, which removes the highest-risk category entirely.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other organizations, including CVMA National and various veteran resources. Once you leave cvmaflorida.org, this policy no longer applies. Read theirs.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
